Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection remains a significant public health concern in Australia, disproportionately affecting people who have migrated from high-prevalence regions (Jin et al.,
2022b). This project aimed to examine the knowledge, attitudes, and health-seeking behaviour related to the hepatitis B virus among people who have migrated to Australia, from either
countries within the sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) or the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) regions, both of which carry a substantially high burden of HBV infection.

This report is an output of the Stigma Indicators Monitoring research project, funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.
